Modification of the terms and conditions

Christianity Explored reserves the right to change the terms and conditions by posting the changes online. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of this agreement as modified.

Intellectual property rights

We are the owners or licensees of all worldwide intellectual property rights in the site and in the content (including information, images, logos, photos, multimedia and overall appearance of the site) available from it. All such rights are reserved.

Christianity Explored aims to provide a secure and safe environment for the general public, and more particularly for course leaders, course participants, youth leaders, children and young people. The following statement outlines the policies by which we collect, manage, and use the data you provided to us as well as ensuring that it is kept secure. Use of the site indicates that you have read this privacy policy and agree to it. We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time in accordance with applicable data protection laws, so please check our policy periodically.

What personally identifiable information is collected from you?

Christianity Explored may collect and analyse both personal data volunteered by visitors to the site and anonymous data.

Personal data includes survey and poll information plus online form content such as name, email and postal addresses, telephone or mobile number, date of birth and your communication preferences.

 Different webpages may ask for different personal information. By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable Christianity Explored to provide you with the services you select.

Anonymous data includes IP addresses (an IP address is a number that can uniquely identify a specific computer or other network device on the internet). We use analysis software to look at IP addresses and cookies (small information files sent to your browser which may then be stored on your computer) and similar devices for the purpose of enhancing your user experience. This information is not used to develop a personal profile of you and the log files are regularly purged.

Christianity Explored will use your personal information for purposes including the following:

  • for "service administration purposes" e.g. to provide you with password reminders or course registration confirmations, or to notify you that a particular service has been suspended for maintenance

  • to analyse and improve the services we offer e.g. to provide you with the most user-friendly navigation experience.

Who is collecting your information?

Christianity Explored is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to third parties. We collect information at several different points on our website.

What security precautions are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information?

When you give Christianity Explored personal information we take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely. Non-sensitive details (your email address etc) may be transmitted normally over the internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Christianity Explored cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, Christianity Explored is committed to taking reasonable steps to ensure its security on our systems.

What if you are a user aged 16 or under?

If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian's permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information to the Christianity Explored site. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.

What if you are accessing this site from outside the UK?

www.christianityexplored.org and www.ceministries.org are published in the UK by Christianity Explored. For international users accessing theses sites from outside the UK, all personal information submitted by you to these sites goes directly to Christianity Explored and will be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
